Why the first accessible block matters

AWL’s Phase 1 campaign is focused on the first accessible training block at Nyakinengo. The community has already contributed land, which makes the next step practical and urgent: build a space where persons with disabilities can enter, learn, meet, train, and organize with dignity. This first block matters because it turns intention into infrastructure. It gives AWL a visible base for inclusive education conversations, vocational training, marketplace preparation, advocacy meetings, and follow-up with families and partners. Supporters should be able to understand the need clearly: this is not a symbolic wall. It is the beginning of a community hub where access, skill, income, and voice can work together.
